Learn fire safety
together.
Free online sessions, fire-station open days and community events — from us and from fire services, schools and safety groups we partner with.
In a real fire, get out first and call your local emergency number. Events are for learning and preparation — they never replace emergency services.
Live workshop: make your home fire-ready in one evening
A 45-minute session that walks through smoke alarms, a two-exit escape plan and the "fight or flee" decision — using the site's tools live, with time for questions from a fire-safety reviewer.

Questions about fire safety events and training
Yes. We only list events that are free to attend. Events that charge a ticket price are not eligible. This aligns with our commitment to making fire-safety education accessible — consistent with the approach recommended by NFPA Public Education and UK fire safety guidance.
Each event listing has an "Add to calendar" link that generates a standard .ics file compatible with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook. You can also subscribe to our full events calendar feed from the News page to receive all upcoming events automatically.
Yes. The "Host your own" section includes free downloadable slides, a group quiz, a printable escape plan template and a drill checklist. All materials are built from reviewed guides and are free to use for non-commercial, fire-safety education purposes. We ask that you do not modify the safety guidance without review by a qualified fire safety professional.
Hosts are either qualified fire safety reviewers (e.g. former firefighters, certified fire-risk assessors) or experienced fire-safety educators. The host's role and relevant credentials are shown on each event listing. If you have questions about a specific host, contact us via the About page.
Most of our online sessions are recorded and published in the "Watch past sessions" section, typically within a week of the event. If a session is not recorded (e.g. at the host's request), this is noted in the event listing in advance.
